Tom has been practicing real estate in the Triangle since 2002 and is one of Terra Nova’s and the area’s top producers. He works with both sellers and buyers, with practice areas in residential resale, new construction, commercial, and investment properties. Tom is an expert in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, and surrounding areas. His consultative approach and extensive negotiating experience make him well-suited to guide clients through their real estate challenges, whether that is a first-time purchase or the sale of a luxury property. Tom has led Terra Nova’s marketing efforts for many new neighborhoods and consulted for developer and builder clients on single-family, townhome, and condominium neighborhood development. While working with clients - selling or buying - is his primary focus, Tom has assisted in managing the firm since becoming a partner owner in 2011. He has helped to grow the firm by recruiting some of the best brokers in the area, assisted in office expansion and relocation, as well as Terra Nova’s partnership with Compass. Tom prides himself on providing exceptional client service and works primarily by referral.

Katie Pope is a dedicated real estate professional known for her client-centered approach, strong communication skills, and entrepreneurial mindset. With a background in client management, sales, and small business ownership, Katie brings a unique blend of professionalism, creativity, and care to every real estate transaction.

After earning her degree in Chemistry from NC State University, Katie spent over a decade building a successful career in esthetics and owning a thriving business in Chapel Hill. This experience honed her attention to detail, commitment to exceptional service, and ability to build lasting relationships—all qualities she now applies to helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

Based in downtown Hillsborough, Katie is passionate about serving her community and guiding buyers and sellers through one of life’s most meaningful decisions. She lives with her wife, Jackie, and their son, Harrison, along with two rescue dogs and three cats. Outside of real estate, Katie enjoys Burn Boot Camp, fishing, cooking, and traveling with her family.
